It was a Wednesday in October when unknown assailants attacked three men in the industrial area of Postbauer-Heng in the Upper Palatinate, leaving them seriously injured. Since then, investigators have been unsuccessfully searching for the four attackers as well as a man who is said to have driven the group to the crime scene in a dark car. Now, the Criminal Police in Regensburg, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Nuremberg-Fürth, have taken a further step and released a wanted poster. In large letters, it states that the police are offering a reward of 5,000 euros.
According to the Oberpfalz Police Headquarters, a reward is being offered for information that leads to the resolution of the crime or the apprehension of the perpetrators.
What happened? On October 8th, around 9:30 p.m., the attackers assaulted three men from a car and demanded the surrender of valuables. During the robbery at "Kago-Platz," the three victims were seriously injured but have since been released from the hospital. Given the severity of the injuries and the nature of the crime, the Regensburg Criminal Police are now investigating the case as an attempted homicide.
The officers have intensified the manhunt for the perpetrators, and a special investigation unit has been formed, according to the police. The criminals are still on the run, the police say. Therefore, the Regensburg Criminal Police are once again asking the public for assistance.
Anyone who noticed anything suspicious around the time of the incident at "Kago Platz" or can provide information about the fleeing suspects or the vehicle is requested to call (0941)506-2888 or contact any other police station.
