Erlangen - Due to a serious traffic accident on Federal Highway 4 between Nuremberg and Erlangen, the Tennenlohe exit had to be closed. Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday evening, November 25, between Nuremberg and Erlangen: Michael Sebald, spokesperson for the *Police Headquarters of Middle Franconia*, confirmed to our editorial team that two people were traveling by car on *Bundesstraße 4* heading towards Erlangen when, for reasons yet unknown, the vehicle veered off the road to the right. According to Sebald, the car damaged a road sign and a post before crashing into a tree.

The crash trapped both the driver and passenger, but the volunteer fire department of Erlangen was able to free them. The accident victims were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. According to police spokesperson Sebald, the vehicle involved in the accident is a total loss.

As a result of the crash, the Tennenlohe exit had to be closed and was reopened after road cleanup operations were completed. The reason why the driver veered off the road is now under investigation. An expert was called in and inspected the vehicle and the lane on site.
