München - Marking numbers, handing over a ticket, and becoming a millionaire overnight: This dream is shared by all lottery players - and sometimes it really does come true. Now, it does for one person in Bavaria.

Over €1.5 million goes to Bavaria. This was announced by the State Lottery and Casino Administration on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in a press release.

A participant in the Eurojackpot lottery from Bavaria single-handedly hit the second prize tier yesterday, correctly guessing five main numbers and one Euro number. According to the Casino Administration, this lucky winner is now exactly €1,558,456.80 richer. The jackpot slipped away by just one number: the second drawn Euro number 9. The winner had correctly picked all other numbers (3, 21, 22, 33, 39) as well as the Euro number 1.

The Eurojackpot offers a minimum jackpot of 10 million euros every Tuesday and Friday for participants who match the winning numbers in the top prize category. To play, participants select five numbers from a range of 1 to 50, plus two additional numbers from 12 Euro numbers. If at least two of the chosen numbers and one Euro number match the winning combination, the player wins.
