Timmy Trumpet, who was announced as the headliner for Friday evening, July 25, 2025, had to cancel his performance on Wednesday evening due to an injury. According to a press release from the festival, the „internationally acclaimed star DJ“ sustained a severe foot injury during an on-stage accident at the Parookaville Festival last weekend and is currently undergoing medical treatment.
„In a race against time“
„In a race against time, he tried everything to get back on his feet in time – unfortunately without success. With a heavy heart, he had to cancel all appearances for the next 14 days, including his slot with us on Friday,“ explained Florian Gebauer, managing director of the Open Beatz Festival. „We wish Timmy a speedy and full recovery and are very pleased that he has already confirmed for next year.“
High-caliber substitute found
Despite the last-minute cancellation, the festival team has managed to secure a high-profile replacement: TREAM, currently one of Germany’s most successful artists, will step in as the replacement headliner. After his celebrated performance last year, it quickly became clear to the team who the perfect choice would be, explains Florian Gebauer. „Booking artists has become a highly complex task - especially with such short-notice changes. Travel plans, availabilities, territorial restrictions from other festivals, and many other factors play a role. We are even more pleased that TREAM immediately expressed interest in performing with us. A big thank you goes to him and his team for the swift and outstanding cooperation,“ Gebauer adds.
Important notice for visitors
The festival issues an important notice for visitors: „TREAM, who hails from the Bavarian Büchelkühn, will perform at 3:00 PM on Friday for travel-related reasons—initially, Timmy Trumpet was scheduled for midnight. Due to this change, there will be last-minute adjustments to the timetable, which will be available to visitors through the official Open Beatz app,“ the press release states. Day visitors are therefore advised to arrive early to avoid missing the performance.
Seven stages and 90.000 visitors
The Open Beatz Festival is one of the largest electronic music festivals in southern Germany. Since its inception, it has attracted tens of thousands of visitors each year with a lineup featuring „international headliners, national scene icons, and up-and-coming newcomers.“ Approximately 90.000 guests experience a musical spectrum that ranges from EDM to Techno, Hardstyle, Drum’n’Bass, and Trance across seven stages, all set against the natural backdrop near Herzogenaurach.
In addition to the music, there is also a focus on „design, community, and innovative festival experiences.“ With over 170 acts, 15.000 campers, and a steadily growing array of specials and interactive formats, Open Beatz has become an integral part of the European festival landscape.
