Another company from the region has been hit: Defacto GmbH from Erlangen has officially filed for insolvency. It is therefore still unclear what the future of the company will look like. Defacto is a technology and consulting company that has dedicated itself to the areas of transformation in customer and process management.
The law firm Schultze & Braun has now stated in a press release that business operations are currently being continued in unrestricted form.
The company, which was founded in Erlangen in 1989, has filed for insolvency.
Currently, according to the letter from the law firm, they are evaluating how the company can be sustainably restructured, aiming to "retain as many jobs as possible." This affects around 150 employees. It is emphasized that wages and salaries are secured until the end of September this year.
"We want to use the insolvency proceedings to continue and complete the realignment that has already begun. I am confident that this can be achieved, as Defacto fundamentally has a viable business model," interim insolvency administrator Volker Böhm is also quoted as saying in the statement. The employees have already been informed about the current situation and the next steps.
The company cited "unforeseeable and short-term revenue declines due to the postponement and cancellation of planned customer orders" as reasons for the current situation. The resulting liquidity gap could no longer be closed independently. For the approximately 150 employees from Erlangen, this marks the beginning of weeks filled with uncertainty.
