The connecting roads between „Kitschendorf-Gaulnhofen“, „Albersreuth-Dechendorf“, „Kammerstein-Volkersgau“, and „Kammerstein-Oberreichenbach“ have now been reopened following the completion of road construction work. However, new projects are already in the pipeline.
According to an announcement from „Autobahn GmbH“, a traffic shift is planned on the A6 at the beginning of July 2025: to lay the final surface layer over approximately eleven kilometers, the lane towards Nuremberg will be diverted to the Heilbronn side. Thus, motorists will share the northern lane in what is known as a "0+4 traffic configuration."
"The removal of traffic on the south side will also allow the remaining work on the three overpass structures for the field and forest paths to be completed, which are expected to reopen to traffic by the end of the summer holidays," the statement continues. The „Niederlassung Nordbayern“ urges road users to exercise increased caution and patience in the construction zone.
